SKEMA Social Ventures Summit: entrepreneurship event

Published on 09 March 2021

The SKEMA Social Ventures Summit is a key event for those who want to launch their impact projects.

Creating value while creating meaning for the common good – this is what drives the professional plans of an increasing number of young graduates. This is also why social entrepreneurship has a bright future because it responds to a societal cause while generating a remunerative, sustainable activity for the stakeholders of the company created.

How can this new entrepreneurial impetus give society a new lease of life, and fulfil the quest for meaning vital to new generations?

For an entire day, on 16 March 2021, SKEMA Business School will bring together social entrepreneurship players at the SKEMA Social Ventures Summit.

Students, entrepreneurs, committed business leaders, professors, and experts in social entrepreneurship will share the progress made in achieving sustainable development goals and best practices for creating and furthering impact projects.

The speakers will include:
Jean-Philippe Courtois, executive vice-president and president of global sales, marketing and operations at Microsoft, president and co-founder of the Live For Good association, president of SKEMA Business School board of directors (alumnus, 1983)
- Florence Oulès, head of the mission for inclusive development and SSE, Région Île-de-France
- Sébastien Malod, vice-president, Réseau Entreprendre
- Christophe Conceicao, head of operations, Live for Good
Guillaume Boudy, mayor of Suresnes
And many others…

Alice Guilhon, Dean and Executive President of SKEMA Business School, will open the proceedings, after which the programme will focus on social entrepreneurs, successful collaborations with their partners, new growth models, and the type of financing and support needed to develop this sector. Plans also include exploring state-of-the-art knowledge in terms of societal impact innovation, attending impact start-up pitches, and discussing the digital transformation of these projects.

For Philippe Chéreau, director of SKEMA Ventures, “The Social Ventures Summit will highlight the characteristics of impact entrepreneurship. Participants will discover the various players in the ecosystems specific to social entrepreneurship, and interact with these new entrepreneurs, who are now dealing with approaches that are simultaneously social, commercial, and institutional.”
