SKEMA student society ranked best in France

Published on 01 December 2018

Important French newspaper Le Parisien has just published its rankings of the best student humanitarian societies in France for 2018. SKEMA's HOPE (Humanitarian Organisation Promoting Equity) society was voted best student society in the “humanitarian and social” category.

Over 300 student societies were candidates for this award: this year, the rankings were opened to include international student societies as well, listing French-speaking student societies from Switzerland, Belgium and Canada. Candidates were initially shortlisted and the 50 best applicants were invited to the offices of Veolia in Aubervilliers, near Paris, on Friday 16 November for the grand final of the competition (orals) and the prizegiving ceremony.

It was our multi-campus collaboration, particularly on the Espero Com Camille Murris project, that made us stand out. Supporting a single cause, wanting to achieve Camille’s dream and make it a reality via a long-term project that creates unique, meaningful links between the society, Camille’s friends and family, SKEMA, and children in Brazil… It was our dynamism and the effort we put into this project that won over the jury”, said Amandine Fert, chairwoman of HOPE, Sophia Antipolis.
