SKEMA Summer Schools 2019

Published on 09 September 2019

This year, SKEMA’s Summer Schools at the Paris campus included two modules: banking and finance, and project management.

These one-week summer school programmes are an opportunity for French and international students to study in English in Paris while making the most of SKEMA’s internationally recognised expertise in these fields (3 ECTS credits per module). The sessions included an icebreaker, introduction to French culture and optional French language classes for an immersive experience.

The module in banking and finance took place from 8 to 12 July and the project management module was held between 15 and 19 July. Dhafer Saidane, programme director of the MSc Corporate Financial Management - Digital Finance and FinTech, led the first module. The students went for a tour of Euronext and BNP Paribas and got the opportunity to speak with their teams to gain a better understanding of the banking and finance sector in Europe.

The project management module was led by Yves Alliot, head of Central Campaign Planning at Airbus Defence and Space. A few days after the training programme, he received a thank you note from a Nottingham Business School student who had been to a job interview and had managed to stand out, thanks to the knowledge and experience gained at SKEMA’s Summer School.
