Action Humanitaire du Pays de Grasse is a non-profit organisation that helps
students requiring financial, material or psychological support. Linked to
SKEMA by a framework agreement, the association is in the running to win the
Trophée de l’Entrepreneur Positif (Positive Entrepreneur Trophy) awarded by the
Provence-Alpes Côte d’Azur branch of the CPME.
“The association currently
employs eight people and counts on the support of 70 volunteers. Many of these
are SKEMA students, one of which was even recognised as a ‘Prodigy of the
Republic’ by the French Ministry of the Interior. For the past two
years, three times a week, we have been distributing food to struggling
students around the Sophia Antipolis campus and in neighbouring areas,”
explained SKEMA professor Ivan Coste-Manière, the president of Action
Humanitaire du Pays de Grasse.
Donation drives on Sophia campus
Donation drives are held regularly on the Sophia Antipolis campus to replenish the association's charity shop and to help those affected by natural hazards, such as Storm Alex. SKEMA students and employees can drop off their donations on campus, to be collected by Action Humanitaire du Pays de Grasse. The association has also published two books, Tous confinés and C(h)ats !, thanks to support from SKEMA.
