SKEMA USA holds virtual conference on AI: Super Human - Achieving the Balance between Man and Machine

SKEMA USA kicked off their spring 2021 virtual conference series with a successful first session, which focussed on the impact of artificial intelligence on the job market and the business world.

The event welcomed guest speaker Richard Boyd, CEO of the Raleigh-based company Tanjo.ai which uses artificial intelligence, machine learning, virtual reality, data visualisation, automation, and other leading technologies to improve businesses, industries, and people’s lives. The session was moderated by Steve Rao, a local professional who advises technology companies on sales and business development strategy for state and local governments. They discussed the increasingly important role that artificial intelligence plays in our world, and described our future as “mobile, aware, simulated, automated, and augmented”.

Nearly 300 SKEMA students and attendees joined the virtual conference, primarily from Raleigh and France, and fueled the discussion through their many questions.

The virtual conference series, which will continue throughout the spring semester, gives students the opportunity to hear local professionals share about their career and discuss a wide variety of topics ranging from entrepreneurship and technology to diversity in the workplace.
