SKEMA USA collects over 120 lbs of food donations

Published on 01 April 2021

To fight food insecurity and show support to the community of NC State University, the SKEMA USA team hosted a two-week-long food drive benefiting “Feed the Pack”, NC State’s food pantry which helps the university’s members meet their food needs, whether it is students, faculty, or staff members.

Najette Outtas, Student Office manager at SKEMA USA, organised and led this initiative. She explains: “During these unprecedented times, we noticed that more students were relying on food banks for assistance. With the help of our SKEMA Raleigh students and local faculty, we decided to support NC State University’s food bank “Feed the Pack” by collecting items for everyone to benefit from. Following the success of this first mission, we are committed to create more student relief events in the future”.

Thanks to the donations and contributions of students, faculty and staff members, SKEMA USA was able to bring over 120 lbs (55 kg) of donated items to Feed the Pack’s pantry.
