Three questions for new head of undergrad programmes

Published on 20 September 2018

After four years on the Raleigh campus as academic dean, Oussama is back on the Lille campus as director of undergraduate programmes (ESDHEM and BBA).

What have you gained from your experience as programme director at the SKEMA Raleigh campus?"
My experience as academic dean of the Raleigh campus has been exciting and challenging.

I was responsible for operational management of academic programmes on the US campus and I oversaw an extensive range of functions: faculty recruitment, development and evaluation; academic budget management and resource allocation; programme and curriculum development and assessment; strategic academic planning; and maintaining compliance with accreditation standards."

As the new director of undergraduate programmes (ESDHEM/BBA), what strategy do you plan to implement?
Our undergraduate programmes have great potential for growth. Therefore it’s important to:
  • Develop and promote initiatives aimed at improving the quality of undergraduate education.

  • Work in collaboration with faculty, staff and administrators to plan, develop, implement and assess programmes that meet student needs and that fulfil SKEMA Business School’s mission of being a vibrant learning organisation that creates impactful knowledge and develops new competences.

  • Grow our undergraduate programmes internationally and have a local recognition in each international campus.

What are the key words for this new academic year?
Transformation, innovation, development
