Programme overview
On the French Riviera, home to numerous sports organisations and major events, join us and learn in an industrially focused, practical way.
This MSc is a full-time programme with eight months of courses followed by work experience or a research project.
The MSc in Sport, Event & Hospitality Management will equip you with the knowledge and competences necessary for you to enter your chosen career field rapidly and effectively.
From Day 1, you will learn about the most important issues and developments and how to lead and manage when faced with the challenges they pose. As part of this, you will develop your skills in key areas including decision making, managing people, deploying technology, and data analysis.
Our teaching is highly practical and always industrially focused – we are single-minded in preparing you for the workplace. Accordingly, you will engage in live company projects, meet with industry professionals, participate in business simulations, disseminate your work amongst key industry stakeholders, and make site visits to relevant organisations.
Throughout our programme, teaching and learning takes place on a multidisciplinary basis. You will develop an in-depth understanding of consumers, but also of employees, business partners, and government officials. You will learn how to formulate and implement strategy, but also how to manage tactically as well as how to deal with problems and crises.

Our MSc in Sport, Event, and Hospitality Management is the direct outcome of extensive consultations with industry professionals, academics, and other key stakeholders. Drawing from their insights, we have created a programme that addresses the most important issues and challenges currently facing these industries.
Amongst the issues and challenges, we examine are how cities compete to host major sport, business, and cultural events; how professional sports clubs make money; how hospitality contributes to consumer experiences, as well as many others.
In one class you may find yourself considering the benefits and pitfalls for a sport sponsor of doing business in Qatar. In another class, you might be planning a ten-year strategy for a major hotel brand or designing a New York-based event that combines music, fashion, and lifestyle decisions. Otherwise, you could be asked to formulate environmental policies for mega-events staged on the Côte d’Azur.
Whatever the issue, challenge or class, our programme is delivered with practical solutions and industrially relevant outcomes in mind. Our goal is, on graduation, that you will be able to make a seamless transition into the world of work. Accordingly, we will help equip you with people management and financial management skills. You will be introduced to radical and transformative ways of thinking and working.
And you will learn how to negotiate, strike deals, and sell. At the same time, we will ensure that you are exposed to the very latest thinking in fields such as sport marketing and event programme management, hospitality business models and service design, and more.
Programme courses
Artist/Entrepreneur/Athlete and Student: It’s Possible!
SKEMA offers tailored arrangements for individuals with special statuses, enabling them to successfully pursue a dual path: obtaining a higher education degree while continuing their professional careers.
These programmes are built on curriculum flexibility, notably through a course system that includes tailored measures for each type of activity, providing a real solution to support the success of dual academic and professional ambitions.
The High-Level Athlete Track
The course system offers students the following:
- Possibility to extend the duration of studies (by 1 to 2 years) without any additional tuition fees (HLA – High-Level Athletes) / academic years may be split
- Personalised timetable arrangements, based on a detailed review of both sporting and academic calendars
- Tailored support including academic and athletic mentoring, follow-up, and specific assistance dedicated to the needs of athletes
- Adaptation of internship and exam arrangements in case of competitions.
- Flexible international experience if needed
- Recognition of athletic commitment through the award of 3 ECTS credits.
Documents to be submitted in addition to your application:
- Athletic CV with record of achievements
- Sports motivation letter
- Copy of your current year’s federation licence or club certificate
- Sporting goals, training, and competition schedule for the coming year
- Certificate of inclusion on the Ministry of Youth and Sports list or from the training centre (if applicable)

Financing
Tuition fees for the academic year 2026-2027, provided for information purposes and subject to change. Definitive amounts will be those mentioned on the contract at the date of registration.

The global sport, event, and hospitality industries are worth billions of Euros and employ millions of people across the world. In mature economies such as France, the United States and Australia, these industries typically contribute up to 11% to annual Gross Domestic Product. Elsewhere, in countries like Saudi Arabia, China, and Brazil, there are ambitions to build sport economies of a comparable size.
Across the world, there is a growing demand for appropriately educated and skilled people to work in these industries, at local, national, and international levels. Whether your professional ambitions are in sport, events, and hospitality, or even in fashion, music or entertainment, your mission will be to provide and manage high quality experiences for increasingly demanding customers.
Graduates of our MSc will meet this challenge, finding work in managerial, leadership, and consulting positions, across a range of different organisations that include governing bodies, government, specialist consultancies, entertainment or sporting venues, teams, clubs, major brand sponsors, event promoters, social media business, broadcasters and many more.
Given the international and global nature of the sport, events, and hospitality industries, we will prepare you accordingly. Our students, academic staff, and industrial partners come from across the world. The case studies and projects you will work on typically have an international or global focus. Whilst our students normally go on overseas trips to visit organisations and events that enhance your knowledge about the world.
Many of our students have the confidence to set up their own business and SKEMA offers on-going support to help/monitor the initial steps for growth. For those students who chose to gain experience in the Industry, the typical positions could be the following: Event Projet Manager/Director, Director of Sales & Marketing, Revenue Manager, Head of Sourcing/Contracting, Operations Manager, Key account Manager, Sport Agent, Sponsorship Manager, Country/Destination Manager.
