Benjamin Ferré's love for exploration was sparked during his studies at SKEMA. In 2012, while still a student, he undertook a solo hitchhiking world tour with his camera to meet the school's alumni. "SKEMA instilled in me the confidence by accepting this crazy project at the time, which enabled me to undertake this year-long initiatory world tour alone," recalls Benjamin.
An entrepreneur and sailor with a mission
Beyond the sporting world, Benjamin Ferré is also a committed entrepreneur. He founded the adventure incubator IMAGO, which supports adventurers worldwide. He is also committed to promoting the association "DUO for a JOB," which helps young people from immigrant backgrounds in their job search. Benjamin Ferré's participation in the Transat Jacques-Vabre, alongside the 38-year-old skipper Pierre Le Roy from Lille, is more than just a sporting event. It is a manifestation of the spirit of adventure and commitment. With the Transat and the Vendée Globe in sight, Benjamin Ferré is ready to write a new chapter in the history of sailing and SKEMA!
Vendée Globe at the tip of the bow
The 2024 Vendée Globe is a major motivation for Benjamin. This solo race is considered one of the most difficult and prestigious in the world. "Benjamin's 2024 Vendée Globe objective is one of humility, empowerment and sharing. It makes sense for SKEMA, in addition to being an extraordinary human and sporting adventure," says Alice Guilhon, dean and executive president of SKEMA.
