US campus: Entrepreneurship Challenge prize giving

Published on 01 March 2017

Students on the Master in Management and the Two-Year MSc programme on the Raleigh campus have been working in groups of four since the start of the semester on an innovative entrepreneurial project.

On 2 and 3 February 2017, they presented their idea in front of a panel comprising their professor Dr. Scott Cohen, businessmen/women and some of the region’s “serial entrepreneurs”. On Thursday 9 February, the results were announced and prizes given.

The eight best teams will join the NC State Entrepreneurship Clinic to work on start-up projects incubated at HQ Raleigh.

Scott Cohen and Oussama Ammar congratulated the teams on the quality of their business solutions. They also recalled the interest of many professionals and local entrepreneurs for the particularly viable solutions which merit further development.

In collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Clinic of NC State University, the 31 winners can now follow up their entrepreneurial adventure by working inside real start-ups that are members of the HQ Raleigh incubator located in the city centre. They can count on Lewis Sheats, director of the Entrepreneurship Clinic to be their mentor.
