S’Konnection

Overview

S’Konnection is the international SKEMA association, created in 2007, which aims to integrate international students on SKEMA’s Lille campus and to help them discover Lille. At the same time, we aim to promote SKEMA’s international dimension and its motto “At home worldwide”.
Our mission is also to socially integrate international students. We keep them informed of the activities offered by the school’s associative life and encourage them to participate in events. We also want to introduce them to French culture by offering them language courses.
They tell us their needs so that we can help them, even before they settle in. Once they arrive in Lille, we support them in their daily life: doctor, scholarship, phone plans, opening bank accounts, real estate agencies, etc.
Finally, we introduce foreign cultures to SKEMA’s students through various events, including some inter-school events that we organize during the year. To do this, we organize events around traditional foreign festivals as well as trips (one day or one weekend) to major European cities.

Impact

S’Konnection remains a driving force in creating an inclusive environment, promoting interculturality and solidarity within the school. This association not only facilitates the integration of international students on a daily basis but also embodies one of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals by fostering inclusive education, for example through organising French support classes, or by setting up multicultural events.

Keys events

• Skupidon: sale of roses with hand-written as well as a lottery for Valentine’s Day. 
• PAF Full Moon:  the international associations of Lille's business schools get together for a Full Moon evening. 
• Travels: the aim of this experience is to enable SKEMA students to discover a European city/capital.
