Students meet key stakeholders of African entrepreneurial ecosystem
To promote African culture, and the numerous economic opportunities offered by the African continent, within the SKEMA student community, the SKEMAFRICA association present on the Grand Paris and Lille campuses organised a trip to the Meet Africa forum. The forum is an economic event that brings together entrepreneurs from the African diaspora.
On 11 February, students from the Grand Paris and Lille campuses attended the Meet Africa forum (European Mobilisation for Entrepreneurship in Africa), organised at the Palais des Congrès in Paris. Their objective was to interact with economic players and decision-makers from the African diaspora. "We were able to meet a wide range of people: politicians, financiers and African entrepreneurs with innovative projects," explains Corentin Etomba, an L3-year Master in Management (PGE) student the Finance & Quants track.
Meeting key personalities
For the students, events such as this are also an opportunity to network with SKEMA alumni and build a network for potential future collaborations. "This forum is proof that the African diaspora is ready to participate in the economic development of their continent and that many tools exist to encourage them in this direction. This forum was also an opportunity to meet key personalities of the African entrepreneurial ecosystem and many inspiring profiles that enable us to project ourselves confidently," says Leslie Diumbu, president of SKEMAFRICA Lille and an L3-year student in the PGE programme's Consilience track.
