On 27 October, a webinar on Becoming a Climber in the Business World was co-organised by SKEMA China and the General Association of Asia Pacific Sports Federations (GAAPSF). The event, which brought together more than 100 executives, high potential talents and manager, influencers, and professors, increased the visibility of SKEMA’s executive education in China.

Prof. Wenyu Dou, academic dean of SKEMA China, Prof. Simon Chadwick, a renowned expert of sports and geopolitical economy and the director of the SKEMA Global Executive MBA in Sport programme, and Ms Zijun Han, the first Chinese woman who reached the summit of Mount Everest from both south and north sides, joined the webinar for the keynote speeches.

The topics of discussion ranged from content marketing to organisational management in sports sector and leadership. Both Matthieu Dumont (director of SKEMA China) and Qi Ye (executive secretary of GAAPSF) showed interest in the topics. The participants actively interacted with guest speakers in the Q&A session on the future development of the sports industry in China.

The webinar was a part of the Global EMBA in Sports programme (GEMBA), launched by SKEMA and GAAPSF. Jason Zhu, head of executive education, SKEMA China, gave a briefing about the GEMBA programme to the participants between the speeches. He demonstrated the framework and highlights of the programme, deepening participants' understanding of SKEMA executive education.
