Mission
SKILS’ mission is to nurture active and dynamic graduates with advanced linguistic capabilities, strong leadership qualities and a truly global perspective. At SKILS not only do we teach a wide range of languages and sports, but we also support students in becoming flexible and capable global citizens with a positive, open mindset.
Contributions
To fulfil its mission, SKILS is committed to:
Preparing students for successful international experiences and global careers by exposing them to different cultures, helping them to understand and respect diversity, thereby supporting them to develop their intercultural communicative competence;
Enabling students to pursue their sporting passions and further their academic and professional language acquisition while helping them develop and champion soft skills such as leadership and teamwork skills, problem-solving skills and ethical understanding, as well as creativity, motivation and resilience;
Creating a culture of technologically-informed teaching innovation, while producing and disseminating practice-based research in the fields of language teaching and learning, and sports and personal development education;
Participating in SKEMA’s CSR programme by addressing the language needs and the wellbeing of staff and students, by fostering a culture of continual personal and professional development.
