SKEMA KARE is a service designed to support you throughout your academic journey. Whether you need occasional help or more regular guidance, we are here to listen, support, and guide you.

SKEMA KARE

We aim to foster a caring, inclusive, and safe environment where every student can truly thrive. SKEMA KARE brings together several forms of support: mental health, disability accommodations, and the prevention of violence, discrimination, and harassment.

  • The mental health support service at SKEMA KARE is here for you.

    Whether you need a one-time conversation during a rough period, or a referral to an external professional, we’re here for you.

    When you contact us, we take the time to listen and understand your situation to direct you towards the most appropriate support.

    Talking is already a step towards feeling better. Don’t hesitate to take the first step!
     

    Some useful information:

    • 15 – SAMU: for medical or psychological emergencies.
    • 3114 – National Suicide Prevention Helpline: available 24/7.
    • 0800 235 236 – Fil Santé Jeunes: an information service for young people (aged 12–25) on health-related topics such as sexuality, nutrition, contraception, drugs, etc.
    • Santé Psy Étudiant: a programme that allows all higher education students to benefit from 12 free sessions with a partnered psychologist.
    • Nightline: a free, anonymous night-time listening service run by and for students. Available in French and English (via chat or phone). Nightline also offers a wellbeing kit, full of tools and resources to help take care of yourself and/or your friends.
  • Do you have a disability or a chronic illness that may require adjustments to your study or exam conditions?

    We’re here to support you and ensure that you can succeed under the best possible conditions.

    The goal of accommodations is to ensure equity in academic success for all students by taking into account specific needs related to disability or health.

    This might include extended time for exams, adapted workspaces, or specific tools to help with notetaking or reading.

    • MDPH (Departmental Centre for Disabled Persons): a public body that assesses disability-related needs and offers tailored support, such as official recognition of disability status for employment (RQTH) or human, technical, or financial assistance.
       
    • AGEFIPH (Association for the Management of the Fund for the Professional Integration of Disabled People): provides guidance, financial aid, and services for employment, apprenticeships, and training.

    • 0 800 737 800 – Cnaé: a support and reporting platform dedicated to students experiencing distress, violence, or discrimination.
    • 3919 – Violence Against Women Helpline: the national helpline for listening to and supporting women who are victims of violence.
    • Family Planning Association (Planning Familial): a service providing support and assistance to victims of gender-based and sexual violence.
    • In case of immediate danger due to a violent situation, call the police, gendarmerie, or fire brigade by dialling 17 or 18.
