SKEMA's Fintech Initiative
Four FAIRR researchers:
Armin Schwienbacher,
Fabio Bertoni,
Bastien Buchwalter, and
Engin Iyidogan have put in place
SKEMA's Fintech Initiative, which aims at deepening our understanding of the new opportunities and challenges that arise with digital transformation: new financing methods for startups, blockchain technology and entrepreneurial opportunities. It builds on the fact that the recent technological developments have led to a series of transformative innovations in the area of financial services. This digitalisation of financial services entails both risk and opportunity, not only for the financial sector but also for the society as whole. The FinTech Initiative aims to better understand the impact and reach of this digital transformation.
International Corporate Governance
The second topic on
International Corporate Governance is led by
Florencio Lopez de Silanes. His academic and applied work has dealt broadly with the analysis of what governance structures are appropriate for what economies and firms, what makes for good laws and regulations. Today, several researchers at FAIRR work in related areas, leading to a critical mass of research output in international corporate governance.
