About the campus

In response to SKEMA Brazil’s continuous growth since its launch in 2015 and to the exponential increase in students at this campus, SKEMA opened a new campus in Belo Horizonte in July 2021 as part of its strategic plan. The new campus offers better infrastructure and learning experience for our students and is equipped to handle the exciting new projects planned in the coming months and years.

Located at Avenida do Contorno, in the heart of Savassi, a vibrant area in the city, the campus is integrated into the digital hub of the city’s innovation ecosystem.

The building has an ecological design and uses materials and devices that contribute to reducing the impact on the environment: ventilation, LED lighting, conscious water consumption, noise control, recycling, selective sorting, etc.

In addition to a technological infrastructure that facilitates the hybridisation of SKEMA’s global education (auditorium, video wall, touch screen, video studio, etc.), the campus also has co-working and collaboration spaces. It also hosts institutional events, multicampus conferences, and major national and international public-interest events.

SKEMA's campus in Brazil is located in Belo Horizonte, the capital of Minas Gerais, in the southeast region. Founded on December 12, 1897, it was built and planned based on the urban models of Paris (France) and Washington, D.C. (USA).

Belo Horizonte is known for its beautiful mountains and landscape and has an average temperature of 22° Celsius.

Programmes

SKEMA's Belo Horizonte campus offers undergraduate, postgraduate and executive education programmes, both via face-to-face and distance learning. All programmes are designed to train future global leaders.

The city has a strong entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem and is home to over 200 start-ups and several incubators.

Student life

SKEMA's Belo Horizonte campus is located in the heart of Savassi, an important commercial area of the city that is close to the San Pedro Valley, a community of high-tech startups. Every semester, the campus welcomes hundreds of students from different nationalities, including Brazilians.

SKEMA Brazil has signed several partnerships with local companies, so throughout each academic semester, students have the opportunity to visit and learn about the development of businesses in different sectors that are key to Belo Horizonte's entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Throughout the year, at the Belo Horizonte campus, SKEMA students can participate in various events that contribute to their professional training, such as:

Startup Kafé: Organised by SKEMA Ventures, it enables students to share and improve their business ideas.
Design Thinking Seminar: Students from all SKEMA campuses learn about and put into practice this approach to develop solutions to specific problems.
Innovation Week: Students from different backgrounds and nationalities work together to solve challenges presented by large companies in the Brazilian market.
CIDIA: The annual International Law and Technology Congress is an opportunity to learn about and follow new perspectives related to the legal market.
