Overview

HeForShe Skema Paris is the central campus association that puts gender equality at the heart of student life, without ever forgetting one essential thing: the atmosphere!  

Inspired by the international HeForShe movement initiated by the UN, our aim is clear: to make Skema a place where everyone feels good, respected and free to be themselves. Because, yes, sexist and sexual violence does exist, but we're here to take action, raise awareness and change people's attitudes, while offering memorable, unifying events. 

Whether you're a man or a woman, you belong with us! Join the movement, because equality is everyone's business!

Impact

HeForShe at SKEMA embodies the commitment to the UN's Sustainable Development Goal No. 5, working for gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls. SKEMA’s student branch raises awareness and engages the student community in an inclusive dialogue, encouraging everyone, especially men, to actively contribute to this cause. Adopting a positive and proactive approach, HeForShe aims to transform perceptions and inspire concrete actions for an egalitarian future in society at large and in the professional world.

Every year, HeForShe organizes : 

• the Women's Rights Week at SKEMA, where several associations participate through various activities focused on women's rights offered to campus students.
• HeForShe also organizes actions for Pink October, such as prevention workshops and a “Journée des Fiertés”, with several other SKEMA associations and beyond, to raise awareness for the LGBT+ cause.
• In addition to these major events, the association also has other projects in partnership with school associations, such as conferences or the Start Impact.

Sophia
Listening, believing, acting : together against sexual and sexist violences

• International Women's Day is an event where we celebrate the feminist cause through workshops, conferences, exhibitions, etc
• Throughout the year, we co-ordinate the work of referees at events organised by the school's
  various associations. These referees look out for others, ensure everyone's safety and act as people you can trust and ask for help or support.
• Women in finance, a conference in cooperation with Skema Finance.

Paris
A branch of the UN's international solidarity movement for gender equality.

HeForShe Skema Paris is: 

• Hot water bottles available at all times to relieve students suffering from painful periods. 
• A helpline to support students at difficult times. 
• A super-active Instagram account, where you can find key information, playlists of sounds to be banned because of their misogyny and all our events. 
• A Valentine's Day lottery to promote female pleasure and communication within relationships. 
• An exhibition and debate featuring testimonials from students who have undergone SGBV: ‘Let's talk about consent’. 
• Painful period simulators and a competition to mark International Endometriosis Day on 28 March. 
• A ‘Lecture au féminin’ fair to showcase up-and-coming female authors and present books on women's issues. 
• Top prevention and a presence at the integration weekend, so that students can enjoy themselves without worry. 
• A charity concert for Pink October
