I am Full Professor in Strategy and Entrepreneurship and Director of the PhD in Management at SKEMA Business School – Université Côte d'Azur (GREDEG). Previously, I was Assistant Professor at Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics (2011-2017). I have been an International Faculty Fellow (IFF) at MIT Sloan School of Management in 2014. I teach strategy and entrepreneurship in the Undergraduate, MSc, Ph.D., and Executive programs.

The overarching goal of my research is to understand organizational learning and knowledge appropriability in the context of complex strategic initiatives. More specifically, in my first stream of research, I study the impact of experiential learning on firm performance in the context of corporate development activities, like buyouts, venture capital investments, and M&As. In my second stream of research, I study the interaction between human and machine learning. In my third stream of research, I examine the strategic reaction to the threat of knowledge spillovers and misappropriation caused by less stringent legal appropriability regimes, employees’ mobility, and startups entry.

I have published in journals such as Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Management Studies, Industrial and Corporate Change, Long Range Planning, and others.
