Andrea Appella from OpenAI to Speak at SKEMA AI Seminar on 26 September
The SKEMA Centre for Artificial Intelligence will kick off its 2024/25 seminar series with a major event on 26 September, from 12:00 to 13:00. Organised by Professor Margherita Pagani, Director of the research centre, this seminar will take place at SKEMA's Grand Paris campus and online. The keynote will be delivered by Professor Christopher Tucci from Imperial College London, focusing on the impact of generative AI, followed by a discussion led by Andrea Appella, Associate General Counsel EMEA at OpenAI.
Christopher Tucci, Professor of Digital Strategy and Innovation at Imperial College, will present his research on the diffusion of generative AI and its disruptive role in economic and technological sectors. His talk will highlight how playful experimentation fosters the rapid adoption of AI and the introduction of new business models, while also addressing the risks of excessive automation.
Andrea Appella from OpenAI to Lead an Insightful Discussion
Andrea Appella, representing OpenAI, will join as the discussant. His legal expertise and perspective on AI governance and regulation will provide valuable insights into the ethical and legal challenges surrounding this rapidly evolving technology.
The Bio of Professor Tucci
Christopher Tucci is Professor of Digital Strategy at Imperial College and Founding Dean of the College of Business & Innovation at NEOM U. An expert in transitions to new business models and technological innovation, he has published extensively and teaches on topics related to artificial intelligence and digital strategy.
