At the SKEMA Business School Belo Horizonte campus, SKEMA Business School celebrated the graduation of 35 BBA students. Attended by families, faculty members and campus teams, the ceremony marked this cohort’s formal entry into the global SKEMA Alumni network, which now brings together more than 63,000 graduates.

“Aim for excellence, not as a form of perfectionism, but as a daily discipline, a method and a standard, even when no one is watching”: in his address, Gustavo Hoffmann encouraged graduates to carry beyond SKEMA the values developed throughout their academic journey, while recalling the role played by families, faculty members and administrative teams during their studies.

Continuing this message, Geneviève Poulingue, who recently handed over leadership of the Belo Horizonte campus, stressed the continuity of the relationship with the school, reminding graduates that learning extends well beyond graduation.

Chosen by the students as guest of honour, Wilson Mendonça, professor of international negotiation, geopolitics and global entrepreneurship, delivered a speech shaped by memories of the cohort and references to key moments shared during their academic path. Two students, Deborah Lamas and Luana Souza, then spoke on behalf of the class to pay tribute to their professors and thank their families.

The ceremony also recognised Giovana Peixoto, a student from the programme, for the excellence of her academic results. She received two university distinctions, along with recognition from CRA-MG.
