In Belo Horizonte, SKEMA prepares students for the realities of the global job market
On the campus in Belo Horizonte, SKEMA Business School hosted the “Design Your Career” workshop, a session aimed at students looking to build careers beyond national borders.
Led by Feryel Houssein and Romain Dulaurroy from SKEMA’s Talent & Careers teams in France, the workshop set out the foundations for entering an international job market. CV structure, personal positioning and application strategy formed the core of the discussion, with a focus on what recruiters expect in practice.
Particular attention was given to optimising LinkedIn profiles, now a central tool in professional development. The session also unpacked the specific features of the French labour market, from implicit expectations to cultural codes and recruitment practices.
Throughout the workshop, students were able to test their plans against real-world conditions, ask direct questions and receive tailored guidance. A format designed to turn international ambition into a structured next step.
Through initiatives like this, SKEMA reinforces its ability to connect its global campuses and support students in navigating an increasingly complex job market. An approach that places employability at the intersection of market understanding and practical readiness.
