Benjamin Ferré, Vendée Globe sailor and SKEMA alumnus, to speak on Lille campus
The student association Pourparlers at SKEMA Business School will host sailor and entrepreneur Benjamin Ferré for a conference on Wednesday 1 October at 7pm on the Lille campus.
A 2015 SKEMA graduate and former student of the Lille campus, Benjamin Ferré made his mark in the latest Vendée Globe (2024-2025). At the age of 34, he completed his solo circumnavigation in 84 days, finishing 16th overall and winning the daggerboard boat category. This achievement makes him the first skipper of his generation to accomplish such a feat alone.
During the event, students from Pourparlers will highlight the inspiring journey of this alumnus, who has successfully combined an entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for the sea. Ferré will share the lessons learned from his round-the-world voyage, from his years of study at SKEMA to his experience as an ocean racer.
