Faculty: Bruno Cirillo receives 2026 Best Reviewer Award from the Journal of Management
Bruno Cirillo, Associate Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at SKEMA Business School and Director of the Knowledge, Technology & Organisation (KTO) Research Centre, has received the 2026 Best Reviewer Award from the Journal of Management.
The distinction recognises a selection of reviewers whose assessments combine academic quality and timeliness. It will be formally presented on 1 August during the Journal of Management Editorial Review Board meeting, held as part of the Academy of Management Annual Meeting in Philadelphia.
Recognition for a key contribution to academic research
Published by SAGE, the Journal of Management is one of the leading general management journals. It is included in the Financial Times’ FT50 list and covers areas including strategy, entrepreneurship, organisational behaviour, human resource management, organisational theory and research methods.
Bruno Cirillo has served on the journal’s Editorial Review Board since 2025.
The award recognises his contribution to the peer-review process, a key stage in academic publishing that helps ensure the rigour, relevance and development of research submitted to the journal. “This award means a great deal to me. Peer review is a collective responsibility within the academic community: it helps authors strengthen their work and supports the quality of research published in our field. I am grateful to the editorial team of the Journal of Management for this recognition,” says Bruno Cirillo.
His research focuses on strategic human capital, employee mobility and organisational learning. This is his latest recognition for reviewing activity, following Outstanding Reviewer Awards from the Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal in 2024 and 2025, as well as an Outstanding Editorial Review Board Reviewer Award from Organization Science in 2023.
