How will AI transform learning? Rethinking pedagogy in the age of artificial intelligence
On 3 June at 6:30pm, SKEMA Business School will host a public conference on its Grand Paris campus exploring a key question for both education and industry: how is artificial intelligence reshaping the way we learn? Featuring a keynote, panel discussion and live Q&A with students, the event will bring together multiple perspectives on the pedagogical, psychological and managerial challenges raised by generative AI.
Organised by the SKEMA Publika think tank, the conference will open with remarks by Frédérique Vidal, Director of Development at SKEMA Publika and former French Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation. She will present key findings from the report “Digital transition: impacts and dependencies”, offering a framework to rethink teaching practices in a world shaped by generative technologies.
A 30-minute panel discussion moderated by Jean-François Guinvarch, Director of the MS MDCE at SKEMA Paris, will follow. Three expert speakers will share insights from their respective fields:
- Margherita Pagani, Professor and Founding Director of the SKEMA Centre for Artificial Intelligence, will examine how AI can foster creativity and critical thinking.
- Salma André, Director of the Specialised Master's in AI Project Management programme, will reflect on the psychological impact of these tools on students, weighing enhanced productivity against rising pressure.
- Nosing Doeuk, Director of Data/AI and Cybersecurity at mc2i, will discuss the evolving skillsets employers are now looking for in the age of AI-driven project management.
The session will conclude with a live student Q&A. In preparation, students were invited to consider three questions:
1. How are you using generative AI in your studies?
2. What do you expect from your lecturers?
3. What do you think employers will expect from you?
Their responses will be integrated into the discussion.
This structured, open forum—moderated by Desmond McGetrick, Director of the MS MPP and Associate Professor at SKEMA—is open to all stakeholders in the education ecosystem.
Tuesday 3 June 2025, 6:30pm – Amphi 1, SKEMA Paris
