A student on the Mastère Spécialisé® Manager de Projets et Programmes (MS® MPP) at the Grand Paris campus, Idriss Bakhti made his mark in recent university karate competitions, proudly representing SKEMA Business School.

Already vice-champion of the Île-de-France region, Idriss Bakhti, MS® MPP student, quickly added a silver medal to his record after a hard-fought final against the athlete who would go on to become French university champion. At the French university championships in Nancy, he faced the same opponent again in the semi-finals, narrowly losing 1–0, and taking home a bronze medal in the Men’s -84 kg category.

A career marked by medals

To strengthen a competing team, Idriss was also authorised to join the ranks of Lyon 1 University. The collaboration paid off, as the team won gold in the team standings.
“This experience marks the end of my six years of study. The bronze medal taught me a great deal about myself, but the team gold remains the most memorable: we won it together, with genuine cohesion. Karate has given me three essential values: discipline, teamwork and resilience,” he concludes after what can only be described as an outstanding journey.
