L’Étudiant 2026 ranking: SKEMA secures a top-six place and stands out internationally
Published on 9 April 2026, L'Étudiant’s 2026 ranking of post-preparatory business schools assesses 23 institutions against more than 40 criteria, for a final score out of 67 points. In this latest edition, SKEMA Business School confirms the strength of its Programme Grande École (Master in Management) by reaching 6th place.
Leading on the international stage
It is on the international criterion that SKEMA makes the strongest impact. The school ranks 2nd, driven by the scale of its accredited academic partnerships, strong student mobility abroad and a high proportion of international students. Its performance in major global rankings also contributed to this result, notably in the Financial Times rankings, where the school holds 18th place worldwide in the Masters in Management ranking and 16th in the European business schools ranking.
Academic excellence and sustainable commitment
Another key strength lies in the quality of the faculty. SKEMA stands out for its high proportion of permanent professors holding a PhD, reflecting strong academic standards and recognised research output. The school also distinguishes itself in environmental transition. SKEMA ranks first on the environmental criterion, supported by its DD&RS label. This official recognition highlights its institution-wide commitment, from governance and campuses to programmes and research quality.
The choice of top-performing candidates
Beyond the figures, the ranking also highlights an inspiring student journey: that of Olivier, top scorer in the 2024 Banque commune d'épreuves entrance examination, admitted to several leading business schools and who ultimately chose SKEMA over emlyon business school.
He explains his decision through the strength of the geopolitics teaching offered from the start of the programme, combined with tangible international exposure, illustrated by an internship in the United Arab Emirates. A strong signal for future applicants: SKEMA appeals to the most demanding profiles.
A reliable member of the top six
In a ranking that has revised many of its criteria, SKEMA confirms its status as a reliable member of the top six. International reach, academic excellence and environmental commitment remain clear assets for today’s students, who are looking for meaning as well as global opportunities.
