SKEMA Business School and Université Côte d’Azur join forces to improve access to healthcare

Led by Benjamin Montmartin, professor of econometrics and data science at SKEMA Business School, the chair brings together leading experts from various fields of medicine, including immunology, gynaecology and intensive care, alongside specialists in the social sciences. Among them are Jean Dellamonica, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Barbara Seitz-Polski, professor of immunology and nephrologist, Pierre-Alexis Gauci, gynaecologist, and Catherine Laffineur, senior lecturer in economics at Université Côte d’Azur.
The Chair will address territorial, social and environmental disparities in public health. Research will focus on two main areas: studying the behaviour of healthcare professionals and assessing the impact of environmental and socio-economic factors on individual health. The goal is to deliver concrete, operational solutions for policymakers and healthcare actors.
A unique Observatory will support this work. Built on historical data enhanced by artificial intelligence, it will provide detailed indicators on access to healthcare, medical desertification and the effectiveness of public health policies. Part of the data will be made available in Open Data.
