SKEMA Business School brings street art to its Grand Paris campus
Since October, SKEMA Business School’s Grand Paris campus has turned into an open-air gallery. Around one hundred pieces of street art have been installed across the site, launching Art on Campus — a cultural initiative designed to rethink the links between art, higher education and the economy.
In the agora, a monumental mural by Bault, a rising figure of the French street art scene, immediately draws attention. His colourful and symbolic world resonates with the spaces devoted to the training of future business leaders — a striking and meaningful contrast.
“Art and business share the ability to anticipate, interpret and influence the world,” explains Alice Guilhon, Dean and Executive President of SKEMA Business School.
“This exhibition is far more than a cultural event: it is an invitation to think differently.”
An artistic experience at the heart of daily life
For a full year, students, professors and staff will live surrounded by art — in corridors, classrooms and social spaces alike. This immersive initiative places creativity and reflection back at the centre of the school’s environment. According to Nicolas Laugero Lasserre, collector, curator and street art specialist, the project represents “a recognition of the central role of urban art in public debate” and “a way to bring students closer to a culture that is free, vibrant and connected to their times.”
When the school becomes a gallery
Entitled Business as (un)usual, the exhibition explores the relationship between art and business and opens a dialogue between disciplines. On the walls, colours challenge certainties, forms release ideas, and the works themselves extend debates on freedom of expression, social responsibility, geopolitics and design as a driver of transformation.
“With our strategic plan UNVEIL, we aim to break down boundaries between disciplines and foster new dialogues between cultures and fields of knowledge,” adds Alice Guilhon.
“This exhibition perfectly captures that mindset: daring to innovate and inspire.”
#StreetDays: conferences and masterclasses throughout the year
Throughout the 2025–2026 academic year, #StreetDays will punctuate campus life with guided tours, talks, masterclasses and artist interventions. This rich programme will connect urban art with key societal issues and encourage students to rethink their place and impact in a changing world.
