SKEMA Business School secures five-year EQUIS accreditation renewal

On 13 May, SKEMA Business School was granted the renewal of its EQUIS accreditation for the maximum duration of five years. Awarded by the EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development), this recognition reinforces the school’s standing among the select group of triple-accredited business schools worldwide (EQUIS, AACSB, EFMD Accredited EMBA).
In its report, the EFMD highlights SKEMA’s full alignment with EQUIS standards of excellence. The school’s development model is described as unique, financially sound, continuously evolving and forward-looking.
Strategic and academic strengths acknowledged
The evaluation team praised SKEMA’s strategic vision, the active engagement of its governance bodies, and the relevance of its business partnerships. The school’s “glocal” approach – combining global reach with local presence – was also highlighted, offering students a coherent international experience tailored to the specific contexts of each campus.
Key strengths identified by the EFMD include:
- the integration of artificial intelligence across all academic programmes;
- a faculty and research management model grounded in trust, collaboration and collective intelligence;
- a strong upward trend in research output, supported by knowledge-sharing platforms such as SKEMA Knowledge and the Makes Sense podcast;
- a credible commitment to social and environmental transitions;
- a professional development offer designed in close collaboration with corporate partners.
A trajectory confirmed
“This renewal comes at a pivotal time as we finalise our 2025–2030 strategic plan. It validates our direction and encourages us to push further in our pursuit of excellence and differentiation,” said Alice Guilhon, Dean and Executive President of SKEMA.
Elise Tosi, Director of Accreditations, Quality & Sustainability, added: “This success is the result of a collective effort and the professionalism of our entire community.”
SKEMA first obtained EQUIS accreditation in 2010, just one year after the school was founded. It was renewed in 2015 and 2020. This latest decision marks fifteen years of sustained growth and transformation.
Global recognition
In addition to its triple international accreditation, SKEMA holds the EESPIG label in France, as well as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications. The school has also earned the DD&RS (Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility) label. Across its nine campuses on five continents, SKEMA complies with local accreditation standards – including licensing in the United States, certificação in Brazil, government recognition in China, and Ministry of Education approval in Dubai. This latest achievement confirms SKEMA’s role as a global player in higher education: innovative, committed, and attuned to the major transformations shaping our world.
