SKEMA renews DD&RS label for four years, strengthening its commitment to sustainable transitions
SKEMA Business School has been awarded the renewal of the DD&RS (Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility) label for the maximum duration of four years. This national accreditation, which assesses higher education institutions across five pillars – governance, teaching, research, environmental management, and social policy – highlights the school’s robust and mature approach to sustainability.
The jury particularly praised the SKEMA Centre for Sustainability Studies, recognising it as an exemplary initiative in advancing research on diversity, inclusion and social justice.
This achievement builds on SKEMA’s 2024–2030 DD&RS Master Plan, which operationalises the school’s “3D Transitions” strategy (Diversity, Decarbonisation, Digital & Data for Good). Rolled out across all campuses, the roadmap sets ambitious targets for 2030:
- to train 100% of students on low-carbon challenges, responsible digital use and diversity;
- to reduce campus carbon emissions by 30% and energy consumption by 40%;
- to reach 50% of academic publications linked to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Co-designed with key stakeholders – including students, staff, alumni and partners – the plan underlines SKEMA’s determination to take a leading role in higher education on climate and social issues.
“With the renewal of the DD&RS label for four years and our comprehensive master plan, SKEMA confirms its ambition to be a pioneering institution in training committed talents capable of addressing global societal and environmental challenges,” said Isabelle Jauny, Director of SKEMA Transitions.
