On 19 November, students from SKEMA Business School’s Suzhou campus visited Safran Aircraft Engines Suzhou to gain firsthand insights into cutting-edge aerospace propulsion technologies. The visit was led by Matthieu Dumont, director of SKEMA China, together with Career Advisor Sherry from Talent & Careers.

Inside a Global High-Tech Leader

The delegation was welcomed by General Manager Julien Pavillet, who introduced Safran’s global operations, corporate culture, and leadership in propulsion, aviation equipment, and aerospace systems. His presentation reinforced the company’s pursuit of excellence, grounded in uncompromising safety standards, product quality, and an ongoing drive for innovation.

Students then toured Safran’s production workshops, guided by technical specialists who demonstrated the precision, complexity, and rigorous processes underpinning aircraft engine component manufacturing. The visit offered students a close-up view of industrial excellence at a company recognised internationally for its technological capabilities.

Career Insights and Professional Opportunities

In the final session, Ms. Zhang from Safran’s Human Resources department introduced current recruitment opportunities in supply chain, procurement, accounting, and other functions. She encouraged students to reflect on their strengths and career interests when considering future applications to the Group.

This industry visit provided SKEMA students with an enriched understanding of the aerospace sector while opening new perspectives on potential career pathways within a global leader.

SKEMA’s Talent & Careers will continue to deepen partnerships with leading enterprises, offering students meaningful exposure to industry developments and strong support as they shape their professional journeys.
