At the end of the effort, Léa Riccoboni (SKEMA 2018) wins IRONMAN 70.3 Peru
French triathlete Léa Riccoboni (SKEMA 2018), a graduate of SKEMA Business School’s Master in Management (PGE), won IRONMAN 70.3 Peru in Lima on 26 April, finishing in 4:15:13, more than nine minutes ahead of the first American chaser. The result confirms her return to form after a disrupted build-up caused by a minor injury.
It is a performance she had long been chasing. Originally from Bourg-d’Oisans, in the Isère region, the PGE graduate built her Peruvian success on a decisive bike leg, completed in 2:16:54. That effort delivered the fastest women’s time of the race, before she held her lead on the run. Strong across all three disciplines, she secured a clear win on a demanding format combining a 1.9 km swim, a 90 km bike ride and a 21.1 km run.
A win after a disrupted preparation
In the days following the race, Léa Riccoboni spoke about a difficult build-up: “I’m really pleased to win this race in Lima, after my injury and a challenging period,” she wrote on her Instagram account as she reflected on her performance.
An international path before professional triathlon
Before committing to elite sport, Léa Riccoboni built an international profile through several experiences in Latin America in marketing and business development, notably with Adidas. Now established on the professional circuit, she continues to confirm her rise over long-distance formats, race after race.
