Agreement signed in support of youth education in Cameroon between Elisée Nlemba, President of HUMANI’SPHERE association and a student at SKEMA, and Alice Guilhon, Dean and Executive President of SKEMA.

This partnership aims to strengthen access to education for young people, especially girls, in Garoua, in the north.

An agreement for training with a future

Alice Guilhon, Dean and Executive President of SKEMA Business School, and Elisée Nlemba, President and Co-founder of the HUMANI’SPHERE association, have officially signed a partnership agreement. This collaboration aims to launch the Garoua Digital Academy, a training centre dedicated to imparting digital skills to young people, particularly girls, in Garoua 1er, in northern Cameroon.

A young and committed association, already highly active

Founded on the values of solidarity, sustainable development and humanism, HUMANI’SPHERE works in support of vulnerable populations in both France and Africa. Since January 2024, the association has implemented more than 11 high-impact projects, including distributing schoolbooks, running environmental awareness campaigns, supporting orphans, and assisting young people in rural areas. This momentum is carried by 43 volunteers across France and Cameroon, driven by a shared determination to take real action on the ground.

A shared ambition for digital education and empowerment

With the support of SKEMA, the Garoua Digital Academy aims to train young people, especially young women, in future-oriented digital careers such as programming, graphic design, project management, and entrepreneurship. Thanks to SKEMA’s financial contribution (€15,000), a classroom will be fully renovated and equipped with state-of-the-art IT equipment. The centre will offer practical, market-relevant training and will develop partnerships to support learners’ entry into the workforce.

Opening up new horizons for young people

“This partnership reflects our commitment to act beyond the walls of our campuses by supporting projects that bring impact and hope. Through the Garoua Digital Academy, we are helping to open up new opportunities for youth full of potential, often held back by cultural or economic barriers,” says Alice Guilhon, Dean and Executive President of SKEMA Business School.

“It is a great source of pride to bring this project to life with SKEMA, my school. As a student in the Mastère Spécialisé® in Project and Programme Management, I see every day how essential high-quality training is. The Garoua Digital Academy is more than just a centre – it is a driver of empowerment and social transformation,” adds Elisée Nlemba, President of HUMANI’SPHERE.

A partnership at the heart of SKEMA’s mission

By supporting this initiative led by one of its students, SKEMA reaffirms its commitment as a socially responsible institution. This partnership embodies the school’s core values: inclusion, positive impact, and global openness. It also reflects SKEMA’s unique model of hybridisation – combining academic excellence, humanism, and technology. The initiative is fully aligned with the school’s 3D strategic plan and its Digital for Good pillar, which seeks to harness digital technology in service of the common good and societal transitions.
