By joining an MSc, students obtain a master of science degree and the "Diploma of Specialised Studies in International Management" (DESMI), a degree approved by France's Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Research (master's level. More info - text in French). 

Finance and accounting in one interactive programme

Careers in corporate finance are undergoing critical changes in the global economy. Practitioners have to face new demands and challenges, and become true business partners at decision making levels.

The programme aims at providing participants with solid technical knowledge and skills, as well as the transversal competencies which are required to manage complex financial situations in an international environment. Special emphasis is placed on innovative tools and practices.

Participants are trained on real life case studies, which focus attention on business and the role of financial management in market/customer driven strategies.

Internships or research projects: 
The MSc consists of two semesters (eight months) in class followed by a four- to six-month internship in a company or a research project under the supervision of a SKEMA research centre for at least four months. The internship or
research project will be the basis for the thesis.

* Mandatory for students without financial background
** A student who has done his/her first semester on the Belo Horizonte campus and has achieved all the degree criteria will be awarded the Brazilian CFM certificate.

Artist/Entrepreneur/Athlete and Student: It’s Possible!

SKEMA offers tailored arrangements for individuals with special statuses, enabling them to successfully pursue a dual path: obtaining a higher education degree while continuing their professional careers.

These programmes are built on curriculum flexibility, notably through a course system that includes tailored measures for each type of activity, providing a real solution to support the success of dual academic and professional ambitions.

The High-Level Athlete Track

The course system offers students the following:

  • Possibility to extend the duration of studies (by 1 to 2 years) without any additional tuition fees (HLA – High-Level Athletes) / academic years may be split
  • Personalised timetable arrangements, based on a detailed review of both sporting and academic calendars
  • Tailored support including academic and athletic mentoring, follow-up, and specific assistance dedicated to the needs of athletes
  • Adaptation of internship and exam arrangements in case of competitions.
  • Flexible international experience if needed
  • Recognition of athletic commitment through the award of 3 ECTS credits.

  • Sports motivation letter
  • Copy of your current year’s federation licence or club certificate
  • Sporting goals, training, and competition schedule for the coming year
  • Certificate of inclusion on the Ministry of Youth and Sports list or from the training centre (if applicable)

Requirements - Two-Year​ MSc:

Eligible to apply: students who hold a three-year university degree or equivalent.
And students will be required to reach the necessary level for the MSc before moving to year two.


Require​ments - MSc (one-year):

Eligible to apply: students who hold a four-year university degree or equivalent + two months minimum of professional experience (for the MSc Financial Markets and Investments, this requirement is: a four-year degree + six months minimum of professional experience),

Students with the equivalent of a three-year degree in France, as well as a minimum of three years of professional experience.*

 

English language test required for all students

In some cases, the English test can be waived (for English native speakers or if you have studied or worked two years in an English-speaking country) 

TOEFL IBT(71), TOEFL ITP(530), IELTS(6), TOEIC(810), Duolingo(105), Cambridge English Qualification®(165), ICIMS(61, on demand).

*Candidates with an Indian bachelor's degree are eligible for the one-year MSc if they have more than three years of work experience and for the two-year MSc if they have less than three years of work experience.

The selection is in two parts:

  1. Eligibility: online application
    A selection committee examines the application submission taking into account the candidate's qualifications and professional experience.
    After submitting their application, candidates applying for the specialisations MSc FMI, GLM, AIBT, CFM, AMAIS and SFF will have a pre-selection test (Visiotalent) in the online video recording form.
    VisioTalent is an automated online recruitment tool that facilitates your admission to SKEMA. This easy-to-use platform will only take 10 minutes of your time to use for your MSc application.
  2. Admission:
    If the application submission is judged satisfactory, candidates undergo a face-to-face/via Skype, or telephone interview. The interview lasts about 30 minutes is based on a typical job interview.

Successful candidates will be admitted on the basis of the application form and the interview.
