Aiming to be the leading master's in supply chain worldwide
Our vision is to produce current and future leaders who want to make a positive impact on the world in supply chain management and procurement. To achieve that we have created a truly global, world-class and highly innovative programme of exceptional quality, which aims to be the leader in its area worldwide.
Cooperation with MIT CTL and Harvard Business School online
We are cooperating with MITs Center for Transportation and Logistics. Our students will do the complete 5 courses of the MITx MicroMasters® Programme in SCM. They will also receive 5 certificates from MIT and become affiliate alumni of MIT. Interested students can apply at MIT after our programme, for finishing the MIT master programme in just one semester or do the MIT certificate programme with a price discount for SKEMA students. Some of our students have become teaching assistants at MIT or studied at MIT after our programme.
We are collaborating with Harvard Business School Online. Our students will do two courses with Harvard Business School online. For that they will receive 2 certificates from Harvard Business School online. We use intensely the teaching elements, pedagogy, cases and simulations of Harvard Business School in our programme.
World's leading supply chain experts as lecturers
The foundation of a world-leading programme is exceptional teachers. To create future leaders, we need today's successful leaders as their teachers. This is why our programme probably has the most successful (industry) experts compared with all other master programmes in our area in the world.
Our teachers include CEOs, COOs, CFOs, Partners from famous consultancies like McKinsey or BCG, Heads of Supply Chain Management and Chief Procurement Officers.
Our goal is to build the leading programme by having the best, most experienced and successful leaders of today to create the leading people of tomorrow.
Great international experience
Every year we visit with our three best students the campus, events and professors at MIT and Harvard Business School in Boston for a week in January.
Our students have the option to take part in a student exchange with Polimi Milano for one week in spring semester. Participating students receive a graded certificate from Polimi for that.
Our students have the option to take part in a student exchange with Lancaster for one week in fall semester. Participating students receive a graded certificate from Lancaster for that.
At the start of our programme all our students take part in an outdoor leadership camp for three days in the French alps.
Students can study at SKEMA's campus in Lille, France and/ or in Dubai.
Programme focus
It is important, that our programme delivers exactly the skills that are currently needed to become a successful leader in supply chain management or procurement. As the world is changing fast, our programme is adapting and improving constantly. A close relationship to the needs of the industry is essential.
At this moment the programme focuses (beside others) on 4 major skills:
- AI and technology: We do an AI course together with Harvard Business School online, plus one with MIT, plus additional courses taught by senior AI executives.
- Analytics and Data: Many high-quality entry jobs require good analytics skills. We do 3 courses with MIT about data, analytics, and optimisation.
- Uncertainty: The world is getting unpredictable. Supply Chain management has to deal with highly unpredictable markets. We have courses about concepts like Risk management, resilience, agility and geopolitics taught by senior executives.
- Soft Skills: No matter how the world will change, SCM and Procurement will always have to deal with a lot of internal and external people. That makes soft skills very important especially for getting promoted to leadership positions. We have a leadership training in the alps, a leadership course with Harvard Business School Online, a communication training by a famous acting trainer company and multiple additional courses to deal with interpersonal skills.
