“Before deciding to study here, SKEMA caught my attention with its excellent Financial Times ranking. I then contacted previous students who explained that this MSc emphasises practical education and transferable business skills. Many teachers have finance industry backgrounds, and share their experience with students, and some teach with real life data from Bloomberg. Additionally class sizes are small, which improves feedback. Highlights, for me, were the various practical projects. In one project students learn how to analyse companies’ finances, evaluate them and pitch their investment decisions to the class and the teacher. Another project is to incorporate a clean energy company and build an offshore wind farm after calculating all relevant costs, cash flows and the proper method of financing the project. I’ve already found a job. In September, I’m starting work in Vienna for PWC in business consulting.
