URBANE develops and implements innovative solutions to make last-mile urban deliveries greener, smarter, and more efficient, supporting the transition toward sustainable urban logistics.

The project combines several cutting-edge technologies and approaches, including automated zero-emission delivery vehicles, digital twin tools for simulating logistics operations, and innovative models for the shared use and management of urban space.

Four pilot cities—Bologna, Valladolid, Helsinki, and Thessaloniki—are testing these solutions through dedicated Living Labs. These real-world urban experimentation environments allow stakeholders to assess, refine, and scale innovations before their wider deployment across Europe.
