Partnership: SKEMA Joins Forces with the Diplomatic and Consular Academy
SKEMA Business School and the Diplomatic and Consular Academy (ADC) of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE) signed a partnership agreement on 4 September 2026 to strengthen exchanges between academia and the French diplomatic community.
On 4 September, SKEMA Business School and the Diplomatic and Consular Academy of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs signed an ambitious partnership agreement designed to foster cooperation between researchers, students, experts and French diplomats. The agreement will draw on the school’s scientific expertise, international footprint and the strength of its global academic network.
“This agreement perfectly reflects SKEMA’s mission: connecting the academic, institutional and international worlds. Two dimensions make this partnership particularly distinctive: the scientific collaboration between the Diplomatic and Consular Academy and our researchers, notably through SKEMA Publika, as well as the opportunity to welcome diplomats to our international campuses so they can gain first-hand insight into the environments in which they will be called upon to work,” explains Frédéric Munier, Professor and Director of the SKEMA School of Geopolitics for Business.
Among the initiatives planned are the participation of SKEMA students in the Fabrique de la Diplomatie, the involvement of faculty members in selected Academy research initiatives, and enhanced exchanges between the two institutions on diplomatic, geopolitical and international affairs.
Scientific Cooperation and Shared Contributions
One of the most innovative aspects of the partnership is its focus on scientific cooperation. The agreement paves the way for joint contributions from experts at the Diplomatic and Consular Academy and SKEMA faculty members, particularly through the SKEMA Publika think tank platform. These collaborations will support deeper reflection on the geopolitical, economic and societal transformations shaping today’s world.
The agreement also provides an opportunity for ministry diplomats to visit SKEMA’s international campuses before taking up postings abroad. These immersion experiences will enable future French representatives to gain a better understanding of the cultural, economic and social environments in which they will carry out their duties.
The partnership agreement was signed by Frédérique Vidal, Director of Strategy and Scientific Impact at SKEMA Business School, and Didier Le Bret, Director of the Diplomatic and Consular Academy, in the presence of Frédéric Munier, Professor and Director of the SKEMA School of Geopolitics for Business.
