SKEMA and CEIBS launch a new double degree at the heart of economic China

SKEMA Business School has announced a strategic partnership with CEIBS (China Europe International Business School), one of Asia’s top-ranked institutions, to launch a joint double degree. From the start of the 2025 academic year, students on the Master in Management (PGE) programme will be able to join the prestigious CEIBS MBA in Shanghai during their final year, graduating with both SKEMA’s Master in Management and the CEIBS MBA.
A gateway to Asia’s economic elite
With triple accreditation and ranked as the number one business school in Asia by the Financial Times, CEIBS offers a world-class academic and professional environment. Selected SKEMA students will spend 12 to 16 months at the Pudong campus, located in the economic heart of China, alongside high-potential international peers.
To be eligible, candidates must have completed the first two years of the PGE (L3 and M1), have at least two years of professional experience (internships or gap year), and present a valid GMAT, GRE or CEIBS Test score in line with admissions criteria.
Generous scholarships to ensure access
To support access to this elite pathway, CEIBS is offering significant scholarships: 44% of tuition fees will be automatically waived for admitted SKEMA students, rising to 64% for EU citizens. This financial support lowers the barrier to entry to one of the world’s most selective MBA programmes.
One student already admitted for 2025-2026
The partnership is already delivering results: a first SKEMA student has been admitted to CEIBS for the 2025-2026 academic year. It marks a concrete step in the implementation of this French-Chinese double degree and reinforces SKEMA’s global education model, built on nine campuses and a network of nearly 200 academic partners across 56 countries—90% of which are accredited.
An expanding global dynamic
The collaboration with CEIBS is part of a broader international strategy. In 2024-2025 alone, SKEMA signed 17 new academic agreements with top-tier institutions, including:
- Vlerick Business School (Belgium)
- University of Oulu – Oulu Business School (Finland)
- ESB Business School, Reutlingen University (Germany)
- Cologne University (Germany)
- Corvinus University of Budapest (Hungary)
- IIM Kozhikode and IIM Lucknow (India)
- Waseda University (Japan)
- University of Liechtenstein
- Bucharest University of Economic Studies (Romania)
- University of Maribor (Slovenia)
- ZHAW University (Switzerland)
- Thammasat Business School (Thailand)
- Mediterranean School of Business (Tunisia)
- Open University (UK)
- Catholic University of Uruguay
“A direct route to international leadership”
Patrice Houdayer, Executive Vice President of SKEMA in charge of academic affairs, highlights the strategic value of this new track: “Thanks to this agreement with CEIBS, we are giving our students a rare opportunity to combine European academic excellence with immersion in one of the world’s most dynamic economic ecosystems. This path leads to senior positions across continents.”
