The conference will explore some of the most pressing challenges at the intersection of business, human rights and sustainability. Bringing together scholars from a wide range of disciplines, the event will feature research presentations, thematic workshops and innovative sessions designed to advance knowledge and practice in the field.

A new highlight of the 2027 edition is a dedicated track on Organizations and Women's Rights, which will examine issues such as equal pay, workplace well-being, gender-based violence, corporate governance and access to economic opportunities for women.

“We are delighted to bring the global Business and Human Rights community to SKEMA. The conference will provide a space for meaningful interdisciplinary dialogue and help advance research and teaching on issues that are increasingly important for organizations worldwide,” said Samentha Goethals, member of the organising committee and co-Director of the Teaching Business and Human Rights Forum.

The event is jointly organised by the Teaching Business and Human Rights Forum, the Global Business and Human Rights Scholars Association and the SKEMA Center for Sustainability Studies, represented on the organising committee by Eliane Bacha, Stephanie Chasserio, Catherine McDonald and Corinne Poroli.

Call for papers now open

Researchers, educators and practitioners interested in participating in the conference can find submission guidelines and deadlines on the event website: gbhrsa-2027.sciencesconf.org.

The submission deadline is 27 November 2026.
