SKEMA’s ‘DD&RS’ label renewed for four years
SKEMA Business School has received a four-year renewal of its 'DD&RS' (Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility) label, the maximum term awarded. This recognition confirms the maturity and robustness of the school’s sustainable development and social responsibility strategy.
The jury underlined SKEMA’s compliance with the five key performance areas of the national DD&RS framework: strategy and governance, teaching and training, research and innovation, environmental management, and social policy. Among the school's flagship initiatives, the SKEMA Centre for Sustainability Studies was singled out as exemplary, notably for its contributions to research on diversity, inclusion, and social justice, which are central themes in the school’s actions.
A master plan to drive transitions
This label renewal is underpinned by the school’s 2024–2030 Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility Master Plan, a long-term roadmap aligned with SKEMA’s “3D Transitions Plan” (Diversity, Decarbonisation, Digital & Data for Good).
Rolled out across all SKEMA campuses worldwide, the plan sets clear and ambitious targets to be achieved by 2030:
- Train 100% of students on low-carbon challenges, responsible digital practices, and diversity.
- Reduce carbon emissions on campuses by 30% and cut energy consumption by 40%.
- Ensure that 50% of academic publications are aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This roadmap is the result of extensive consultation with stakeholders: students, staff, alumni, and partners, and involves all departments across the school to embed sustainable transformation at every level.
By adopting such a comprehensive strategy, SKEMA positions itself among the leading French business schools with an integrated approach to sustainability. With a presence on five continents, the business school continues to play a pioneering role in higher education in addressing global environmental and social challenges.
“With this four-year renewal of the DD&RS label and our strategic master plan, SKEMA reinforces its ambition to be a pioneering institution, training committed talents capable of tackling global societal and environmental issues,” said Isabelle Jauny, Director of SKEMA Transitions.
