Returning to school after 15 years of professional experience is a significant investment. For executives choosing an Executive MBA, it must serve a clear ambition: moving into senior leadership, expanding their responsibilities, changing industries, or pursuing an international career. Le Figaro’s 2027 ranking offers insight into the leading programs. SKEMA’s Global Executive MBA retains fourth place for the second consecutive year, with an overall score of 18.9 out of 20.

The ranking draws on approximately ten indicators grouped into two categories: academic recognition, which considers accreditation and admissions requirements, among other factors; and international and professional reputation, which takes into account international rankings and post-program compensation.
In the second category, SKEMA scores 19.1 out of 20, matching the score of the top-ranked program.
This national recognition adds to a major international achievement: in the Financial Times 2026 Executive MBA ranking, published on October 12, SKEMA’s Global Executive MBA ranks fourth worldwide and first among French business schools.

Taking on broader leadership responsibilities

Beyond compensation, an Executive MBA aims to help experienced professionals move beyond their functional expertise, develop a comprehensive understanding of business, and strengthen their leadership. Strategy, finance, artificial intelligence, sustainability, and cross-cultural management are all areas they must bring together to lead transformation.

“For an experienced executive, advancing means more than securing a new role or higher compensation. It also means broadening their responsibilities, strengthening their decision-making capabilities and mobilizing teams in complex environments. Our ambition is to support this growth by combining a global perspective, an understanding of technological change, and self-awareness enabling participants to lead with purpose in the age of AI,” say Marine Hadengue, Executive Director, and Anke Middelmann, Program Director of SKEMA’s Global Executive MBA.
