Title of Job Market Paper: The Rise of SPACs: Understanding Private Firms' Alternative Route to Public Markets and their Performance Outcomes
Woodrow is a PhD candidate at SKEMA Business School in the KTO Research Centre. His research focuses on firm growth and funding, specifically through Special Purpose Acquisition Companies (SPACs) in order to go public.
He holds a Master of Research in Management and Innovation from SKEMA Business School, a Master of Science in International Marketing and Business Development from SKEMA Business School, and a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Hawaii Pacific University.
I am interested in sustainable innovation and intellectual property rights (IPRs).

Marco Balzano is a PhD Student in a dual PhD programme between SKEMA Business School and Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. His research interests include strategic imitation, competitive dynamics, organisational agility, and digital innovation.
Yichen is a PhD student in the FAIRR research centre at Skema Business School. She has a keen interest in risk management, regulations, and behavioural finance.
Before beginning the PhD programme, Yichen worked as a research assistant with a specific focus on private equity. She has also worked on post-investment financial management in China's real estate industry for two years.
Yichen has an MSc in Audit, Management Accounting, and Information Systems, as well as a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting.

Vinaya is pursuing her PhD in Strategic Management focusing on management of intellectual capital impacting employee mobility. Her research focuses on how human and relational capital could have differential impacts for employee mobility and mobility choices.

Gabriela Pinto is a PhD Student in the joint program by SKEMA Business School and FEB – KU Leuven, working under the supervision of professors Aida Jebali and Erik Demeulemeester in the field of Operations Research applied to Health Services. Her research focuses on operating room planning and scheduling.
Gabriela holds a Master of Science degree in Operations Research from Columbia University and a Bachelors and Professional degree in Industrial Engineering degree from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, Chile.
Prior to joining SKEMA, she worked as a Research Engineer for the project “Operations Research in Energy and Climate Change" (ORECC) at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez and funded by the Chilean National Agency for Research and Development (ANID). Her earlier experience includes consulting and research, mainly applying Operations Research and Data Analytics tools to problems related to the energy and transportation industries. Gabriela also has teaching experience, both as lecturer and teaching assistant for Operations Research at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.
Her interests include mathematical modeling, design and analysis of algorithms and applications of Operations Research.

Nathan is interested in the use of artificial intelligence (AI) for business. More specifically, his research focuses on AI-enabled business models and the influence of creative AI on entrepreneurial creativity.
He holds a "Grande Ecole" MSc in Management from emlyon Business School and a Master's degree in Research in Management from University Lyon III.
His research interest is in Asset Pricing. The tentative research direction is to do empirical research on asset pricing using machine learning or advanced type models of deep learning.
The main use of natural language processing to examine and study the impact of retail investors' disclosure of information about listed companies on social media on the stock volatility of listed companies. In-depth study on the impact of two-way communication mechanism between retail investors and listed companies on stock volatility in social media.
