To begin with, Alice Guilhon opened with an introductory speech in Portuguese in which she congratulated the students. Following her, Karen Haas Dornas, associate director of the Global BBA, highlighted the work of the newly graduated class, emphasising the achievements made over the year. The ceremony was marked by the presence of economist and professor Mario Marques, whom the students chose as the patron of their class.

Several honorary guests were present at the ceremony, including Héloïse Delavenne Garcia (Honorary Consul of France for Minas Gerais), José Celso Cunha Guerra Pinto Coelho (dean of the Medical Sciences Faculty of Minas Gerais), Dr. Jehu Aguilar (president of the Regional Administration Council of Minas Gerais (CRA-MG)), José Antônio de Sousa (State Secretary of Education for Minas Gerais), and Emeritus Professor Max Cirino de Mattos. “The ceremony was filled with emotion as our future graduates thanked their parents and teachers. Three class representatives spoke before taking an oath in favour of business ethics, a prerequisite to receiving their diploma,” recounts Geneviève Poulingue, director of the Belo Horizonte campus.
