Published on 22 March 2024

From 11 to 15 March, students of the MSc Artificial Intelligence for Business Transformation took part in a Study Trip to the Sophia Antipolis campus.

Accompanied by Francis Wolinski, programme director, and Gonzague D'Harambure, career development manager, they had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the Sophia Antipolis technology ecosystem and explore various facets of their field of study through inspiring encounters and visits to renowned companies.

The week began with a visit to the IBM Lab, which offered students a focus on Generative AI and a demo of their Watsonx tool based on data and AI. The day continued with an exceptional visit to Accenture, where the students witnessed the latest innovations in their famous showcase, usually reserved for companies. It was a particularly inspiring experience, offering a real insight into the practical applications of artificial intelligence in the business world.

This was followed by a visit to the Sophia Antipolis foundation's Business Pole, where we met 3 promising start-ups: HiMyData, artinLeap and Mata Medical. The latter presented high-potential projects!

To strengthen group cohesion and foster a sense of belonging within the AIBT programme, a team building session was organised, including bowling and laser activities. This fun break gave the students the opportunity to forge links and share moments of conviviality.

Another highlight of the Study Trip was a presentation by fintech company iLex. Using data management and AI, iLex offers a marketplace for syndicated loans, representing a market worth over €100 million. This presentation highlighted the innovative applications of artificial intelligence in the financial sector.

The week ended with an afterwork networking event bringing together 20 SKEMA alumni based in the region. This evening was an opportunity for current students to make valuable contacts and exchange ideas with established professionals in the field of artificial intelligence and business transformation.

The Study Trip was an enriching experience for the students of the MSc Artificial Intelligence for Business Transformation, offering them a practical immersion in the world of innovation and entrepreneurship in the field of artificial intelligence.
