Conference of Gaspard Koenig

Wednesday 29 January 2020
13:00
Paris Campus

SKEMA Business School is honored to receive the philosopher for an exceptional conference on artificial intelligence and free will.

In his latest book, “The End of the Individual: A Philosopher’s Journey to the Land of Artificial Intelligence” (Éditions de l'observatoire, 2019), Gaspard Koenig argues that society should be cautious about the power of AI not because it will destroy humanity (as some argue) but because it will erode our capacity for critical judgement. He already sees that happening, as people blindly follow algorithmic recommendations, be it to watch a film or use a map. He worries this will only get worse.

This conference is organised by professor François Régis Chaumartin for the students of the new Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence for Business Transformation.
