Artificial
intelligence is at the heart of a new partnership between SKEMA and MINESParisTech, one of France’s most illustrious engineering schools, whose ancestor
“L’école des Mines de Paris” was founded in the 18th century. This
establishment has renowned expertise in the fields of AI and data science, just
like SKEMA, which, as a pioneering business school, has established its AI
R&D centre in Montreal, now a global hub for AI research.
A Polytechnique graduate at the helm
To seal this new alliance, SKEMA and MINES ParisTech have created a certificate in data science and AI, whose educational leadership will be managed by Etienne de Saint-Martin, a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and the ENS Cachan who is currently chief of staff, data, at La Redoute. "Through this certificate, we aim to support managers and leaders wishing to initiate a digital transformation in their organisation.
Our programme enables participants to experiment with AI in different fields: finance, supply chain or marketing," said Pascale Viala, director of corporate office, SKEMA Business School. The programme will be held over four days and consists of five modules:
- First module: acquiring an understanding of data science and AI
- Second module: making business decisions using AI and creating value
- Third module: experimenting with data science and AI through a choice of three business applications: supply chain, finance or marketing
- Fourth module: managing and overseeing data specialists
- Fifth module: grasping the issues of cybersecurity, compliance, ethics and sustainable digital use
“Providing managers with a comprehensive
solution”
This
programme devoted to data science and AI will begin in January 2022. It is
intended for managers who wish to increase their awareness of these subjects
through the modules listed above. For Laurent Amice, managing director of MINES
ParisTech | PSL Executive Education, this “combination
of expertise” between SKEMA and MINES “will provide a comprehensive solution to
managers and leaders wishing to increase their knowledge of data science and AI”
to better integrate these tools into a business strategy and carry out
transformation projects within companies.
