Brazil: SKEMA launches its website in Portuguese

Published on 21 October 2020

After French, English (US and EN) and Chinese, SKEMA’s website has now been launched in Portuguese. This is a major step in SKEMA’s development in Brazil. Geneviève Poulingue, director of SKEMA’s Belo Horizonte campus, tells us more.

What’s the reason for developing a SKEMA website in Portuguese?
Providing a website in Portuguese shows SKEMA’s commitment to the Brazilian market. The website provides information about SKEMA in Brazil, and keeps Brazilians up to date with what’s going on at all the other SKEMA campuses, as well as institutional information. It is a real vehicle for the development and growth of our Brazilian campus.

How does this project support the SKY25 strategic plan?
The third pillar of SKEMA’s SKY25 strategic plan is “Taking a position as the Glocal Institution”. SKEMA takes global and local action. With this new website, we now have a new tool to be “Brazilians in Brazil”, with content that is both global and local.

Can you tell us how it came about?
The initiative came from a mixed team from the Paris, Sophia Antipolis and Belo Horizonte campuses, which also manages it. The project, with its deeply multicultural dimension, started in late 2019 when a work group was created with the Marketing & Communications department (Anne-Sophie Monthuy, Sarthak Saraswat, Damien Roux), the Brazil team (Vanessa Freitas, Maira Ocarino, Rodrigo Lapertosa) and myself.

The team discussed regularly to define and develop the site’s structure and produce its content. The site will be enriched on a regular basis with improvements and updated content, providing our audience – in their own language – with everything they want to know about SKEMA in Brazil and around the world.
