SKEMA and Regional Olympic Sports Committee partnership

Published on 06 October 2017

22 September, Alice Guilhon (SKEMA director general) and Ivan Coste-Manière (president of CROS French Riviera) renewed the partnership between the two institutions, just a few days before Paris was officially announced as the host city for the 2024 Olympics.

CROS and SKEMA have been working hand in hand for many years exploiting common synergies and exchanging good practices:

  • MSc Digital Marketing (directed by Muriel Walas) student participation in the reorganisation of the Olympic website; all levels of student internships for SKEMA students in the local structures of the Mouvement Olympique et Sportif, CDOS to the CIO
  • An impressive amount of work from students in the MSc Strategic Event & Tourism Management and MSc International Hospitality Management (directed by Mady Keup) during the Nice Marathon
  • Active participation of students in the MSc Luxury & Fashion Management (directed by Ivan Coste-Manière) at the Sportel in Monaco (the very place where Ivan Coste Manière awarded the CROS Medal to SAS to Prince Albert II of Monaco and held courses on image rights and celebrity communication) in one section of the FICTS -Festival International du Cinéma et de la Télévision Sportive – (under the auspices of the CIO) on the SKEMA Sophia-Antipolis campus.

Courses relative to these subjects are given by lawyers from LPA-CGR consultants, one of the biggest heavyweights in this area in the world.

Many new projects are in the pipeline with ever more ambition and closer links in the years to come for this partnership, all of which will be good for both the SKEMA sports club and for popular support for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The ever-present Ivan Coste-Manière holds many functions in the international sporting arena. He is also director of the French Riviera CROS and director of a SKEMA MSc, and promises a brilliant future for long-lasting collaboration between the institutions. This was not missed by the BSIS auditors who gave strong financial support to this example of international and multi-campus collaboration.
